We begins a series that we call Ian's Mantra. In this first one we look at the people that were called by name by God. The conclusion is that if God knows them by name He also knows you and me by name. It is true. God know you by name. You are so important to Him I had to tell you.

SHOW NOTES

My Mantra

1. God knows me by name.

Adam: Where are you?

Abraham: I have big plans for you.

Isaac, Jacob: Your are a cheater man but we will wrestle it out and

you will become my prince who wrestled with me.

Moses: You are going to deliver your people.

Mary: Do you know that the baby you deliver will one day deliver

you?

John the Baptist: You are going to change the world for my son

Jesus?

Simon:

Jesus: Who do people say that the Son of Man is? (Matthew

16:13).

Jesus: But who do you say that I am? (Matthew 16:15

Simon: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus: “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood

did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. I also say

to you that you are Peter (petros), and upon this rock (petra) I will

build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.”

(Matthew 16:16–18).

NOT ONY SIMON IS RENAMED PETER!

The Bible promises believers a new name, signifying a new identity

and internal transformation through their relationship with God.

This promise is found in both the Old and New Testaments, including

Isaiah 62:2 "you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow" and

Revelation 2:17 "I will give him a white stone inscribed with

a new name".

Andrew, James and John, Matthew, Zaccheus,

Mary of the Perfume and the Tomb:

Crying because she thinks the gardener has moved the dead body

of Jesus. “Mary!” changes everything. It moves her from despair to

delight, from trauma to triumph, from sadness to JOY!

Thomas: “Put your fingers in the nail holes. Put your hand in my

side!” (This is my man, He is checking the evidence, making sure it

is fact not fantasy. He believes and I believe. Brave Thomas.)

Jesus knew them by name. This means he knew their characters

and personalities. They were vitally important to him. You are too.

There are 8+ billion people on the planet. God knows each one of

us by name.

The mayor of Red Deer knows me by name.

The Prime Minister of Canada almost knew me by name—except

he lost the election.

Isaiah 43:1-2 NLT

But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you.

O Israel, the one who formed you says,

“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.

I have called you by name; you are mine.

2 When you gothrough deep waters,

I will be with you. When you go through rivers of diciculty,

you will not drown.

When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not

be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

And why don’t we believe and cherish this intimate facet of

God towards us?

Because we have been brainwashed that God has rejected us

when the truth is that we rejected God. Adam and Eve hid from

God because they decided that God was now their enemy. They

were told this lie by the evil one. It was not true then and is not true

now. Satan would have us believe that we need to be good enough

for God to call us by name. IT IS NOT TRUE.

This 6-week-old baby is loved, cherished and named by its

parents.

The baby’s performance is crying, urinating and defecating at will,

causing parental sleep deprivation. Good parents look beyond all

the stress because they brought this baby into the world.

Good parents are not kinder than God. They got this kindness from

God. They are made in his image!

Irma and I have a 40-year lady friend who has downs-

syndrome. She does not need condemnation, she needs healing.

It’s not fair that she has this malady. She never chose it.

Are you listening?

We never chose to be sinners. That choice was made by Adam

and Eve. The idea that God is condemning our behaviour was

invented by the devil and his friends.

Love keeps no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:5).

Love keeps a record of wins over evil and selfishness.

God knows you would have been perfect if you had been born

on another planet. He sees and treats you as perfectly innocent.

This is called justification or grace or acceptance. This is what we

do for people we love!

There are people all around you that have no idea of the security

that is possible because God knows them by name and they are

more important to God than all the beautiful birds and fragrant

flowers. You are God’s mouth to them. You are God’s heart for

them. You are God’s ambassador to them.

Awaken to your divine destiny. Before you leave this place tell

two people, “God knows you by name. You are so important to

him, I had to tell you.”

When you have a quiet moment send a message or call

someone you have asked God to designate to you.

Tell them: “God knows you by name. You are so import to him—

I had to tell you.”
