Wishing is based on wanting, a false hope is a fantasy. True hope is based on evidence that it will become a reality. Some wish for the second coming, the terminally ill wish for the second coming. The disciples in the upper room were without hope. John 20:20-29 tells the story of Thomas and his journey to belief. Blessed are those who believe without seeing. Doubt is healthy and helps us to look for evidence to dispel it. 1. With Jesus the impossible becomes possible. 2. Jesus returned from the grave and is the evidence He will come again from heaven to earth to fetch you and me. 3. Jesus knows you by name because he knew Mary and Thomas by name. 4. Jesus understands your difficulty with faith. 5. Jesus gives you faith as you are willing to receive it. It is a gift from God. 6. Jesus will reveal himself to you as he did to Thomas. 7 Jesus loves you as if you were the only person on earth. John 3:16.
Let your faith be based on a hope that is based on evidence instead of what you want.
